Simulating worlds through interconnecting models

Simulating worlds from our distant past to conceivable futures demand ideas, methods, and tools to create composable and composed heterogeneous models. We describe the necessity of having different kinds of models and put forth the multi-formalism model composability approach toward building high-fidelity simulations for engineered systems, natural environments, and human biology. We highlight some potential impact of interconnecting models within the modeling and simulation lifecycle.
